First of all, I love Marks website and I use it often to find new dishes and restaurants/food carts in Bangkok. On his website every time he lists a dish he has the name of the dish in Thai letters next to the english name for it. I have gotten into the habit of copying these and pasting them into a word document that I print out to show the cooks or waiters when they can't understand my horrible attempts at pronouncing them correctly in Thai. I now have quite a large "menu" of my own that makes it really easy to order in places that have zero english and few western customers. Unfortunately in this guide he lists tons of great looking thai dishes in english and phonetic pronunciation but no thai lettering, so I am forced to try and pronounce them in Thai which sometimes only results in a blank stare or a completely different thing that I was trying to order. It seems like it would have been so easy to add the Thai words which is very frustrating. Other than that it's excellent, highly recommended, and definitely worth the price.Product details
